These terms apply to The Cage Index mobile app, website, rankings, historical tools, share cards, and related original content.
Informational and entertainment purpose
The Cage Index provides independent sports ratings, historical data tools, and analysis for informational and entertainment purposes. CIR and CI 100 rankings are model outputs based on the methodology described by The Cage Index; they are not statements of objective fact and are not predictions of hypothetical fights.
No betting, financial, or professional advice
Nothing in The Cage Index is betting, financial, medical, legal, or other professional advice. The product is not a sportsbook, does not place wagers, and does not guarantee any sporting outcome. Users are responsible for their own decisions.
Rankings, data, and availability
The Cage Index works to maintain accurate records and reproducible model outputs, but does not guarantee that every data source, historical record, ranking, image, or service will be complete, uninterrupted, or error-free. Official records can be corrected after publication, and rankings can change when source data or completed-event evidence changes.
Independent status and third-party rights
The Cage Index is independent and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by UFC, any fighter, team, promotion, sanctioning body, or broadcaster unless expressly stated. Third-party fighter names, promotion names, photographs, logos, and trademarks belong to their respective owners. References to them are descriptive and do not imply endorsement.
The Cage Index intellectual property
The Cage Index name, CI 100 presentation, CIR methodology documentation, original graphics, software, editorial presentation, and original written content are protected materials. Public viewing and ordinary sharing features are permitted for personal use. Commercial republication, bulk automated extraction, resale, or presentation that falsely implies endorsement requires permission.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse the service, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, remove attribution from original Cage Index materials, or use the app or website in a way that violates applicable law or another party's rights.
Changes
The app, website, methodology presentation, and these terms may change over time. The effective date on this page identifies the current version of these terms.
