Publication standard

EDITORIAL &
FACT-CHECKING

The model determines CIR and ranking order. AI may assist with drafting explanatory copy, but AI output is not treated as a source and is not publication-ready on its own.

What a human checks

For new and updated editorial write-ups, the reviewer checks any factual claims about fighter identity and nickname, stated UFC record, opponent, result, event, date, title or championship status, and other concrete MMA facts. Unsupported claims are corrected, sourced or removed.

What gets checked against CIR

Every published CIR score, CI 100 position, rank movement, component value and snapshot date used in editorial content is compared with the current published model output for the same snapshot.

What AI does not decide

AI does not set rankings, apply manual boosts, override the formula or choose a fighter’s CIR. It may help summarize already-available information after the ranking output exists.

Corrections

If a factual or data error is found, the goal is to correct the published copy and, when the underlying data is involved, verify the source evidence before changing model inputs. Readers can report an issue through the contact page.

Review standard: a clean CIR-number check is not enough. The surrounding prose receives its own human fact check before new or updated analysis is published.
